Madico has implemented the new standard as part of its long-standing commitment to ensure consistent and exceptional quality across its operations. The audit was successfully completed on July 28 at Madico's corporate headquarters in Woburn, Ma.
Madico first received ISO certification in 1999. The ISO 9001 standard is revised periodically by the International Organization for Standardization ("ISO"). ISO upgraded to its most recent revision in November of 2008. The previous revision, ISO 9001:2000, is initiative to ensure compliance to the requirements as early as possible. According to Dan MacKay, Director of Manufacturing and Quality Sytems, "We are proud of our commitment to superior quality and customer satisfaction. The ISO standard serves as our foundation for quality form product conception and design to manufacturing and customer service processes." He added, "The ISO 9001:2008 requirement for continual improvement complements our lean initiatives as well as our commitment to exceed customer expectations for sustained success".
